For the project zdi.NRW – Future through Innovation.NRW We are looking for an experienced person in the field of data science and machine learning to strengthen our team, who will support the transfer of future-relevant technologies such as AI into educational practice in the NRW-wide project and get new innovative digital tools, platforms and formats rolling.

Your tasks

• AI innovation: Identification of possible applications of artificial intelligence and implementation of innovative solutions.
• Development & Implementation: Creation and implementation of machine learning and AI models as well as AI applications.
• Data modeling & data preparation: Ensuring data integrity through careful data modeling and preparation.
• Development of data-driven applications: Developing your own applications and solutions based on data, using programming languages ​​such as Python and database analysis with SQL or similar technologies.
• Product Ownership: Support the development of the zdi management tool in collaboration with external developers. Collect and prioritize requirements from the team and users, and ensure implementation.
• Technical interface management: Support and maintenance of technical interfaces to zdi applications and platforms as well as the underlying databases.
• Quality standards & processes: Ensuring technical quality standards and optimizing existing processes.
• Stakeholder communication: Ensuring transparency in project communication and close exchange with project managers, customers and partners.

You bring that with you

• Completed studies in computer science, data science, machine learning or comparable qualification.
• Extensive experience in the development and implementation of machine learning and AI applications.
• Experience as a product owner or in digital product management
• Solid knowledge and practical experience with SQL, Python, and relevant frameworks and libraries.
• Experience in systems integration and data-driven technologies.
• Passion for agile methods and user-centered product development.
• Interest in and ideally experience in the areas of (STEM) education, innovation and social change.
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment in designing digital projects.
