Do you want to help create the future of healthcare? Our name, Siemens Healthineers, was selected to honor our people who dedicate their energy and passion to this cause. It reflects their pioneering spirit combined with our long history of engineering in the ever-evolving healthcare industry.

We offer you a flexible and dynamic environment with opportunities to go beyond your comfort zone in order to grow personally and professionally. Sounds interesting?

Then come and join our global team as  Application Developer (f/m/d) to drive cutting-edge neuro-applications in MR imaging and set new standards in medical diagnostics.

Choose the best place for your work – within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

·         Within the scope of our development process, you will independently drive the development and advancement of comprehensive acquisition, reconstruction, and evaluation techniques for neuro-applications including the creation of related documentation.

·         Your primary focus will be on developing methods to accelerate and automate examination workflows, for example by using AI algorithms, and validating these techniques through customer collaboration projects.

·         You will work intensively with both internal and external development teams as well as international clinical and scientific partners to optimize existing methods and develop new approaches. Your focus will be on creating clinically relevant solutions that are well integrated into clinical practice.

·         As part of your responsibilities, you will prepare and present your work at internal meetings, scientific conferences, and customer events.

·         You will translate solution ideas and customer feedback into requirements for future product developments and work closely with the product development teams.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have completed a Master's/Diploma degree in (medical) physics, biomedical imaging, medical informatics, or a comparable field
  • You have several years of relevant professional experience with medical imaging techniques and their clinical application, ideally in neurology. Alternatively, you hold a PhD in this field.
  • You have solid programming experience in Python and C++, as well as sound knowledge of MR physics.
  • You have good knowledge of machine learning and medical image processing and are proficient in the corresponding frameworks.
  • Ideally, you also bring experience in MR sequence programming (experience with MR-IDEA & MR-ICE would be a plus).

Your attributes and skills:

  • Since German is our daily team language and we communicate and document with external partners and customers in English, you have fluent proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken.
  • You are innovative and present your ideas and results confidently and convincingly.
  • You enjoy working on complex scientific questions and translating them into practical solutions.
