A Snapshot of Your Day
The morning starts with a stand-up meeting with the development team about the current product improvement activity. You explain a new functionality required to the product you have elaborated in meetings with various customers. In the cross-functional team you set t nd the day with the team meeting with the other Product Managers, where you exchange on the latest trends and give some advice on how to solve a technical issue you already faced with your products in service. How You’ll Make an Impact- Responsible for the complete lifecycle of specific gas insulated high voltage switchgears
- Listen to and understand market trends, customer, and stakeholder feedback, evaluate product opportunities
- Monitor market and perform technical/commercial analyses of competitor products
- Create and maintain business plans to define the most rewarding product developments
- Define development activities for portfolio optimization, specify their requirements and supervise their realization
- Create product strategy and define the product development roadmap
- Assure smooth factory and market introduction of portfolio optimizations
- Enable a high-performing culture focusing on learning and continuous improvement, with an engaged and motivated workforce
- Monitor product performance and trigger ongoing improvements
- University degree in engineering (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar)
- Several years of professional experience in product management, technical sales, project management or commissioning of switchgears
- Knowledge of high voltage switchgears and their components
- Expertise in market introduction of products in collaboration with global sales organizations
- Basic skills in business administration, marketing, negotiation techniques and presentation techniques
- International experience either outside of the home country or in a global organization is a plus
- Being proactive, dynamic, decisive & results-oriented, as well as a team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
