The Team
You will be part of the OneWSA Cloud initiative, a long-term strategic program aimed at creating a unified and simplified ecosystem for hearing care professionals. Today, multiple fitting solutions and services coexist; our ambition is to streamline these into a cohesive platform over the coming years.
Within this context, you will work closely with globally distributed teams across browser applications, backend services, device software (eSW), CIAM, and DevOps. Collaboration across cultures, disciplines, and locations is at the heart of how we deliver.
What you will do
As a Senior Architect, Cloud Applications, you will play a key role in defining and driving the architecture of cloud-native and hybrid applications, with a particular focus on enabling offline capabilities.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Driving the transformation toward an offline-first architecture , ensuring seamless user experience regardless of connectivity.
Leading software architecture initiatives for web and hybrid applications with a local PC footprint.
Ensuring architectural consistency and alignment across frontend, backend, device, and local components.
Guiding and mentoring development teams, providing direction on technologies, design decisions, and best practices.
Aligning multiple teams across global R&D to ensure cohesive implementation and delivery.
Managing technical dependencies, risks, and trade-offs related to performance, scalability, and compliance.
Preparing clear, decision-ready technical insights for stakeholders and leadership.
Evaluating modern technologies such as WebAssembly and AI tools to improve efficiency and innovation.
Your background
We imagine that you hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and bring extensive experience in software architecture and technical leadership within complex environments.
Experience
Strong experience in software architecture, particularly for web and hybrid applications.
Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Architect guiding multiple teams across locations.
Solid knowledge of cloud technologies and distributed systems.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
Experience working in globally distributed and multi-cultural teams.
Experience with offline-capable systems or synchronization solutions is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with WebAssembly is considered a plus.
Experience in medical device development or other regulated industries is beneficial.
