1.16-2025_08: Financial Controller for International Projects (m/f/d)

For our growing business we are looking for a Financial Controller for International Projects (m/f/d) within our Finance Department. If you enjoy taking on commercial responsibility for our international projects, working closely with expert teams and project managers, and contributing to the further development of our finance department, we look forward to getting to know you!

Responsibilities:

• Financial and commercial management of our worldwide projects funded by international donors (i.e. KfW, GIZ, World Bank, AFD, EBRD, EU and others), together with the project manager;
• Preparation of financial offers and cost calculations;
• Assistance in preparing quarterly reports;
• Support for project-related year-end closing tasks;
• Issuance of customer invoices and consortium/JV settlements;
• Correspondence with clients, consortium/JV partners, project staff, etc.;
• Auditing of project accounts and internal posting of business transactions;
• Preparation of project-specific data for further processing in our internal accounting system;
• Support and advice to heads of department and project managers (m/f/d) in business and financial matters.

Your profile:

• Successfully completed degree in business administration with a focus on controlling/finance, or equivalent qualification;
• 3–5 years of professional experience in operational project controlling and project accounting, ideally in the context of international development cooperation;
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a well-structured manner;
• Excellent command of English and Spanish or English and French; German language skills would be an asset;
• Strong team player with outstanding communication skills and assertiveness;
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and willing to familiarise yourself with new IT and financial management systems.
