Your role as a Senior Financial Controller:
As a senior finance professional, you combine financial control and business control responsibilities. You operate in an international environment (70% English / 30% German) and report directly to the CFO (NL, DE, BE), while closely collaborating with the Group CFO and other controllers.
Financial Control
Ensure accurate local accounting (local GAAP) and Group reporting (IFRS)
Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
Prepare accruals, provisions, and reconciliations
Support audits and maintain strong financial controls
Business Control & FP&A
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
Deliver monthly reporting, dashboards, and KPI analysis
Provide variance analysis (Actual vs Budget / Forecast)
Act as business partner to management on performance and margins
Process & Improvement
Improve finance processes and internal controls
Drive automation and reporting efficiency
Support finance transformation initiatives
Stakeholder Management
Main finance contact for Germany
Work closely with CFO (NL/DE/BE), Group CFO, and international controllers
Partner with local management and external auditors

Additional requirements include:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance / Controlling / Audit
· Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles
· Experience with budgeting, forecasting and FP&A
· Advanced Excel skills (Power BI is a plus)
· Fluent in German and English
