What you`ll do:

As Senior ML Research Engineer & Architecture Lead for the SAP-RPT model family, you will be a key driver for translating frontier AI research into enterprise-grade services and products. Bridging the gap between foundation model experimentation and robust technical execution, you will ensure our models are architected for maximum efficiency and optimized for the unique demands of high-performance GPU infrastructure. You will bring very profound Python expertise to the team, contributing to the development of the sophisticated data and benchmarking pipelines that validate the excellence of our model artifacts.

In your role as an architect, you will act as the primary expert voice for the SAP-RPT family, translating complex model requirements into clear technical specifications for our interfacing deployment partners. Your focus is on the deep-stack optimization and architectural integrity of the model itself, ensuring it is perfectly primed for integration into the broader SAP ecosystem. The Role:

• Serve as the architectural voice for the SAP-RPT model family, actively shaping cross-functional architectural decisions to ensure research breakthroughs translate into scalable, ecosystem-ready solutions.

• Drive the transition of research prototypes into production-ready code and containerized artifacts, defining robust API specifications and implementing efficient inference pipelines to ensure maximum runtime efficiency.

• Develop and maintain sophisticated benchmarking and data pipelines to rigorously validate the technical excellence of our foundation models.

• Ensure high-quality Python software engineering standards and architectural integrity to produce robust model artifacts.

What you bring:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or other relevant disciplines. PhD is a plus.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Python software engineering and the architectural design of complex AI systems.

• Proven track record in machine learning model development with deep expertise in the PyTorch ecosystem.

• Hands-on experience with ML model deployment and optimization on cloud GPU infrastructure

• Demonstrated ability to influence technical roadmaps and navigate multi-dependency requirements through strong communication and collaboration within large-scale, cross-cultural teams.

• Exposure to relational enterprise data (ERP/CRM), and ideally to knowledge graphs.

• Proficiency in deep-stack optimization frameworks like TensorRT and CudaGraph, including infrastructure patterns such as load balancing and GPU warmup strategies is a plus
