The research group Assimilate Allocation and NMR applies modern techniques such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), metabolomics and transcriptomics to study plant growth and metabolic performance.
Our lab is currently seeking to recruit a metabolomics postdoc for a DFG-funded international project. In collaboration with partners form UK and USA, the project aims to biochemically characterize growing plants and their interaction with the microbiome. For this, metabolomics combined with AI/ML will be used for deriving greater biological insights from LC-MS data.
Your tasks:
- Performing metabolomics using state-of-the-art LC/MS technology (Orbitrap).
- Experiment planning.
- Deriving biological insights from LC/MS data.
- Present and publish scientific findings.
Your qualifications and skills:
- You hold a doctorate degree/Ph.D. in biological, biochemistry, crop science related fields.
- You have knowledge of basic molecular biology/biochemistry.
- Expertise in the field of metabolomics.
- You own proficiency in data analysis and statistical software packages.
