Your responsibilities
- Contribute your specific knowledge of high-pressure piping technology (e.g., in accordance with DVGW regulations, Pressure Equipment Directive).
- Take responsibility for the development and creation of documents such as technical reports on feasibility studies, specifications, pipe classes, plant and system layouts, 3D models, parts lists, tender packages, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects and ensure that the requirements for the piping system are met in terms of quality, budget, and schedule.
- Represent piping engineering in interdisciplinary teams to lead projects to success.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, regulatory authorities, and experts to ensure smooth construction and acceptance/commissioning of the piping system.
- Keep track of industry trends and technical developments.
Your profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in the engineering of piping systems, preferably in high-pressure applications in the energy or oil & gas industry.
- Specific knowledge and experience in the pipeline transport of natural gas, hydrogen, ammonia, and carbon dioxide is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of national and international regulations on high-pressure pipeline technology.
- Experience in the engineering and engineering management of complex pipeline systems in energy plants in the various project phases (from feasibility to commissioning).
- Leadership qualities, and in particular the ability to abstract complex technical issues in order to present them convincingly.
- Ability to work on several projects in parallel and in a fast-paced environment, combined with a willingness to travel for several days at a time (both domestically and internationally).
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills required (minimum C1 in German).
