Activities

We are looking for an IT Architect - DBA who will be responsible for defining the technical architecture of the information system, ensuring the consistency and sustainability of all IT resources, while making the best use of state-of-the-art technologies for all TS and TGP entities worldwide.

The IT Architect -DBA will be reporting to the Backend Services Team Leader, who is more widely part of the DDIT (Delivery IT for Tradings) Infrastructure & Support department, which is a mutualized function for trading activities.

Your department is in charge of roughly 1200 users, 1200 servers, and is managing 10 offices globally (3 trading floors included) and 7 Datacenters.

You will be j oining a team and an on-call duty (standby) with morning checks.

You will have the following responsibilities:

DESIGN / CONSULTING / RECOMMENDATION / COMMUNICATION:

• Define and lead the development of the technical architecture of the information system to meet business needs.
• Review and analyze the technical impacts of new solutions and their consistency with the existing architecture.
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines, recommendations, and standards.
• Advise development teams on the use and possible implementations of IT and telecommunications tools.
• Organize technology watch and innovation choices.
• For any new project or technology, participate in the impact study on the existing or planned architecture.
• Recommend technical choices to ensure the coherence of this evolution.
• Promote the technical architecture within the IT department and in coordination with the company’s architecture validation bodies.

ADMINISTRATION:

• Define and manages the IT system repository in terms of tools, procedures, standards, terminology, security, etc.
• You will set-up the database management systems (DBMS) and configure them to meet the company’s needs.
• Ensure the proper functioning of databases, perform backups, updates, and optimizations to guarantee performance.
• Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, and corruption.
• Monitor database activity, identifies and resolves issues, and ensures service continuity.
• Analyze database performance and implements actions to improve efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• You are a Master Degree holder (Engineering or equivalent), specialized in database and networks
• You have experience with networks and systems, and with IT project management
• You have a prior experience in a business with a related field (energy, trading, financial services etc)
• You are open-minded and have a strong team spirit
• You are dynamic, you show strong organisational skills and abilities to prioritize
• You are solution driven and show outstanding communication skills
• You are fluent in English and French. Any other language considered as a plus.
