For one of our clients, we are looking for a Collateral & Work-out Officer to join their team in Switzerland (with possible base in Europe or the UAE).

Your mission :

• Oversee the full collateral lifecycle: registration, valuation, monitoring, and release, ensuring accurate and timely control of pledged assets
• Coordinate closely with operations, legal, and treasury teams to maintain transparent and up-to-date collateral positions
• Manage complex or distressed trade finance cases, including late payments, defaults, and restructuring situations
• Lead negotiations with clients and external stakeholders to recover exposures efficiently and strategically
• Develop and implement work-out strategies in collaboration with management and legal teams
• Analyze root causes of defaults and recommend corrective actions to strengthen credit practices
• Monitor credit lines and limits, identify early warning signs, and proactively escalate risk situations
• Contribute to credit committees through detailed assessments, exposure reports, and recovery analyses
• Act as a key liaison between front office, risk, and legal functions to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures
• Support new transactions by reviewing collateral structures and ensuring compliance with internal risk frameworks

Your profile :

• 5–10 years of experience in commodity trade finance, credit risk management, or work-out/recovery operations
• Strong expertise in collateralized lending and trade finance instruments (L/C, SBLC, pledge agreements, etc.)
• Proven track record managing defaulting or high-risk counterparties
• Solid understanding of the legal and operational aspects of recovery processes
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills with sound business judgment
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and composure
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
