Job details
For one of our clients, a well-established commodity trading company with offices in Geneva, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Controller.
Your mission:
- Own controlling and financial reporting for the Swiss entity and selected EMEA entities
- Lead the month-end close, general ledger activities, reconciliations, and reporting processes
- Prepare statutory accounts and group reporting packages under Swiss regulations, IFRS, and Swiss GAAP
- Coordinate Swiss tax compliance and act as a key contact for auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders
- Improve reporting processes, internal controls, and accounting tools
- Support a small regional team and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders
Your profile:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualification
- 4–6 years of experience in financial reporting, controlling, or accounting in an international and ideally multi-entity environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Swiss GAAP, Swiss tax, statutory reporting, and audit coordination
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Strong ERP / GL systems and Excel skills
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, on-site international environment
