For one of our clients operating in the energy trading space, we are looking to recruit an Oil Analyst to be based in Geneva.

Your mission:

• Monitor and analyze global oil derivatives markets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Conduct comprehensive research on factors influencing oil derivatives prices, including physical markets, geopolitical events, S&D dynamics
• Develop and utilize statistical models to analyze data and forecast market movements
• Assess the risk factors associated with oil trading and investment activities
• Build and maintain financial models to analyze the economic viability of oil projects and investments
• Prepare regular reports on market trends, pricing forecasts, and key indicators for internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, economists, and risk management professionals, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics

Your profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field
• Proven experience of 5 years in oil derivatives analysis, trading, or related roles within the energy sector, with a strong understanding of physical oil markets
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and financial modeling
• Intermediate Python-level required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of global energy markets, geopolitical factors, and industry trends
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
