Mantell Associates is partnered with a rapidly expanding global CDMO specialising in drug substance and drug product services across small molecules and biologics. They are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will define and execute financial strategy, drive sustainable growth, and strengthen financial operations in support of global expansion. This role offers a rare opportunity to influence high-impact decisions and help scale a market-leading organisation within the life sciences manufacturing sector.

CFO – Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of financial management, including financial planning & analysis, accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting
• Define and implement financial strategy to support ambitious growth targets, optimise capital structure, and enhance profitability
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, business development, investments, pricing strategy, and risk management
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring across multiple legal entities and international operations
• Drive financial systems and process improvements to ensure robust controls, scalable operations, and compliance with local and international regulatory requirements
• Provide financial leadership in M&A activities, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance organisation

CFO – Requirements:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) highly preferred
• Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance leader, ideally within CDMO, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, or related industrial sectors
• Strong strategic mindset with experience scaling finance functions through periods of growth and transformation
• Deep understanding of global financial reporting, compliance, risk management, and multi-jurisdictional operations
• Experience with ERP implementations, financial modelling, and capital markets engagement advantageous
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence executive and board-level decisions
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French and/or Dutch is a plus
