Über diesen Job
Why should you join?
At One Workspace, you become part of a pioneering team with the backing of a global player. We offer you not only the excitement and agility of a startup, but also the stability and resources of DocuWare. You’ll be empowered to make visible impact, innovate with cutting-edge AI technologies, and push the boundaries of what digital workspace solutions can be. We foster a culture of trust, creativity, and long-term growth - giving you space to challenge yourself, grow professionally, and see your work shape our product and the industry.
Your Responsibilities
As Senior Product Designer (m/f/d), you act as the de facto Head of Product Design for DocuWare’s corporate startup One Workspace. You hold end-to-end responsibility for the user experience of our new SaaS product - from shaping strategic direction to delivering hands-on design solutions.
This role empowers a designer who has evolved from crafting screens to designing product strategy, focusing on outcomes rather than mere output. AI agents support execution-heavy tasks under your supervision, so you can concentrate on the work that requires genuine human judgment: defining what to build, how it should feel, and why a given direction is right. You manage research agencies for exploratory studies and conduct hands-on interviews and contextual research yourself.

You manage research agencies for exploratory studies and conduct hands-on interviews and contextual research yourself.
Your responsibilities include:
- Defining UX strategy, design principles, and a scalable design system from scratch.
- Taking full ownership of the user experience, leading research, ideation, prototyping, UI design, and UX writing.
- Co-leading product discovery with the Senior Product Owner, turning complex problems and hypotheses into user-centered solutions.
- Setting up, directing, and overseeing AI agents as part of the design and research process.
- Planning, conducting, and synthesizing user research - including interviews, usability tests, and collaborations with external partners—and translating insights into actionable, evidence-based recommendations.
- Designing intuitive interaction models for AI-assisted workflows, ensuring transparency and trustworthiness of agent behavior.
- Facilitating design reviews, workshops, and discovery sprints to align product, engineering, and stakeholders with your vision.
What you need to succeed
- You hold a degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Product Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- You bring several years of product design experience and a clear progression toward product strategy and outcome ownership, especially in complex B2B SaaS environments.
- You have hands-on experience with 0-to-1 product development - designing products from scratch and delivering to real users.
- You actively use AI tools for synthesis, ideation, and documentation, and are driven to expand their use systematically through multi-agent setups.
- You excel at discovery leadership: from planning and moderating research to synthesizing insights and translating them into actionable design direction.
- You are experienced in working with or managing external UX research agencies and design partners.
- You design for scalability from day one, considering the overall product architecture beyond individual screens.
- You have designed for AI-powered products or human-AI interaction patterns, and embrace an AI-first mindset.
- You communicate and facilitate effectively across teams and stakeholders. You are fluent in English; German is a plus.
