Your Responsibilities
As Senior Product Owner (m/f/d), you act as the de facto Head of Product for DocuWare’s corporate startup One Workspace. In a setting where the problem space is clear but the solution is open, you bring entrepreneurial drive and commercial thinking. Your focus is on building a scalable SaaS product that consistently delivers user and business value, structuring the team’s work, and leveraging modern tools - including AI agents and established customer relationships - to drive systematic discovery and high-impact decisions.

- Defining and owning the product vision and roadmap, ensuring the team is focused on the highest-value opportunities.
- Building and continuously validating the business case for the overall product and for individual features.
- Designing and operating structured discovery programs, leveraging customer relationships and insights to identify and prioritize unmet needs.
- Setting up, directing, and overseeing specialized AI agents to increase efficiency and quality.
- Commissioning, briefing, and managing external UX research partners to support exploratory interviews and qualitative research.
- Translating discovery insights into a lean, outcome-oriented backlog with clear prioritization and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborating closely with Product Design and Solution Architecture to align product, design, and technical decisions.
- Establishing continuous learning cycles, using customer feedback, product usage data, and business KPIs to guide ongoing development.
- Ensuring the product evolves to meet enterprise requirements, including security, compliance, and integration standards.
What you need to succeed
- You have hands-on experience with AI tools, AI-assisted workflows, or multi-agent setups, and you are eager to integrate AI agents as a core part of your working method.
- You bring several years of experience in product ownership or product management for software products, ideally with proven success in 0-to-1 product development within a startup or corporate venture environment.
- You are skilled at leading discovery, from hypothesis formulation and user research design to validation frameworks and synthesizing qualitative insights, and you routinely translate research into actionable outcomes.
- You have experience building and presenting business cases for product investments, and you demonstrate entrepreneurial drive and strong commercial thinking.
- You are adept at commissioning and managing external UX research agencies or partners, and you thrive in cross-functional collaboration.
- You understand enterprise requirements, including integration, security, procurement expectations, and you can create clarity and direction even when facing uncertainty.
- You embrace an AI-first working mindset and structured thinking.
- You are fluent in English; German is a plus.
