Über diesen Job

Intro

Do you have a knack for technical challenges and a passion for supporting cutting-edge brain research worldwide? Then you’re exactly the right fit for our team.

With over 25 years of experience in electrophysiology, Brain Products GmbH is a global leader in the development of software and hardware solutions for neurophysiological research. As an internationally operating company, we distribute our products in more than 60 countries, both directly and through a global network of distributors.

What drives us? A passion for research, a spirit of innovation, and a dedicated team that works together to make a real impact.

Tasks

  • Provide support to our scientific users and international distributors regarding the effective use of our neurophysiological hardware and signal acquisition software, with a particular focus on simultaneous EEG-fMRI measurements.
  • Offer consultation and troubleshooting services primarily through remote channels such as an email ticketing system, video calls, or in-house pilot testing. On-site customer visits may also be required approximately once a month.
  • Analyze sample data and employ creative problem-solving techniques to identify opportunities for optimizing customer setups.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers/distributors and product management/development teams to facilitate the enhancement of existing products and the development of new ones.
  • Coordinate and oversee the initiation and management of repair processes.
  • Develop training materials for workshops and compose technical or promotional articles.
  • Represent Brain Products by participating in workshops, webinars, and international scientific conferences – including giving presentations.

Requirements

  • Research or laboratory experience in a relevant field such as neuroscience, psychology, (bio)physics, biomedical technology, or a related discipline. A Ph.D. is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Solid experience with simultaneous EEG-fMRI measurements – ideally using the BrainAmp MR system. This includes the acquisition of combined datasets as well as the handling and processing of EEG data recorded in the MR environment.
  • Strong understanding of MRI safety standards and the underlying physics.
  • Familiarity with the technical aspects of hardware and software used for biosignal acquisition, especially EEG and MRI. Experience with MRI sequences is an advantage.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, ranging from novices to experts.
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in German is desirable.
  • A structured and self-reliant working style combined with a collaborative mindset.
  • Willingness to work on-site most of the time and to travel internationally on occasion (approx. once per month).
