Ready to design something from scratch and shape the future of robotics?
At ABB Robotics in Gilching, we’re looking for a UX Design working student who wants to build a brand‑new interface from the ground up. You’ll take the UX lead for this product, supported by our wider ABB UX community.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:- Design a new interface from zero, workflows, layouts, visuals
- Create clean mockups, sketches, and quick prototypes
- Explore early concepts and bring structure to open‑ended ideas
- Work closely with engineering and product teams in Gilching
- Make user‑focused design decisions that guide the product forward
Qualifications for the role
- You’re enrolled in any bachelor’s program, with a strong interest in UX/UI, Interaction Design, HCI, or similar areas
- Curious about using AI tools to support your design process (for exploration, concepting, or speeding up tasks)
- Able to work independently in Figma
- Enjoy working independently and driving your own design process
- Interest about robotics and building tools for real users
- Curiosity, creativity, and a "let’s try it” attitude
