As a Software Engineer (Java) you will be a part of our Portfolio Management System (PMS) team. You will work on our core PMS platform and its components, built in Java. The system processes millions of transactions and delivers financial data to internal and external clients, primarily via REST APIs.
You will contribute to developing new features and continuously improving performance, scalability, and reliability.

You will contribute to developing new features and continuously improving performance, scalability, and reliability.
Your role and responsibility
In this position you will:
- Enhance and extend our REST APIs, ensuring scalability and robustness
- Analyse and optimize PMS components, with a focus on performance and memory usage in a GCP environment
- Contribute to architectural and technical improvements of the system
- Stay up to date with industry trends and bring in new ideas and technologies
- Participate in code reviews and support less experienced team members
- Actively contribute to a high-quality engineering culture
Your experience and profile
We are looking for:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience as a Java Software Engineer in large-scale systems
- Experience working with financial data (e.g. transactions, accounts)
- Strong knowledge of Java and related technologies
- Experience designing and building REST APIs
- Solid understanding of SQL (preferably PostgreSQL)
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Good communication skills in English, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
