Responsibilities
The Institute of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at TUGraz is looking for a committed employee in the field of software and system support as well as IT administration to support the team as soon as possible.
You will be part of an up-and-coming young faculty where you will regularly network with colleagues from other institutes, becoming part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary working environment. Your tasks will include:
Supporting scientific communication
- Collecting, preparing, and presenting the institute's scientific results from research projects and publications in a comprehensible manner for various communication channels
- Publishing announcements and news from the institute on suitable communication platforms
- Maintaining and updating the content of the institute's websites
- Preparing the institute's annual reports for project partners and the interested public
- Assisting in the organization and implementation of the institute's information and public relations events
Maintenance and programming of the institute's own software
- Maintenance and support of various software programs (e.g., for configuration, diagnostics, and system testing) that are provided as free software via GIT and comparable platforms
- Ensuring that the software is up to date and functional
- Independent expansion, adaptation, and testing of the software as needed
- Development of web applications to support administrative operations and teaching
Hardware, software, and institute's own IT support
- Installation, maintenance, and support of hardware and software at the institute
- Technical support at conferences, symposia, and other events organized by the institute
- Obtaining quotes for the procurement of new equipment and inventory management
- Assigning, setting up, and maintaining user accounts for institute employees
- Setting up and managing guest accounts for guest researchers and guest lecturers
Admission Requirements
Advanced or completed training or equivalent qualification (school-based or self-taught IT knowledge) in IT or a related field

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 37,521.40 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

Organisational Unit
The Institute of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence is concerned with the theoretical, practical and applied aspects of software engineering. Research lies in the field of intelligent systems, formal verification and systematic testing of software, artificial intelligence, requirements engineering, recommender systems, optimization of industrial problems, agile software development processes, intelligent autonomous robots, innovative software engineering education, integrating AI techniques within coding education and DevOps processes, AI applications in understanding the cognition of octopuses contrasted with artificial neural networks, and investigates strategies to responsibly address the challenges posed by future AI superintelligence.
