The project focuses on the design and development of biocatalytic cascades for the sustainable bioproduction of industrially relevant targets. Optimization of the process by different engineering strategies including enzyme- and reaction engineering in order to increase the overall efficiency of the biocatalytic process will be also part of the project.

That’s important to us

Ideally, you have completed a Ph.D./doctoral programme for a recognized University in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields. We are particularly interested in candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Biocatalysis
• Instrumental analytics (HPLC, GC, NMR, MS etc.),
• Molecular biology
• Biochemistry
• Organic synthesis
• Interest in conducting a research project independently
• Enjoy the work in an international, interdisciplinary environment

That’s what you should know

• The annual gross salary is EUR 69.060 .
• This corresponds to a monthly net amount of EUR 3.170,47 (paid 14 times a year).
• Starting date: between September 2025 and November 2025
