Responsibilities

• Co-supervision of scientific work such as Bachelor's project, Master's project Soil Mechanics and Master's theses in German and English. Collaboration in the courses Geotechnics GL, Soil Mechanics and Foudation Engineering, Advanced Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering, Field Excursion Soil Mechanics, Computational Geotechnics
• Application of computational geotechnics with a focus on the topics Eurocode, soil-structure interaction, embankments and stability as well as integration of subsoil uncertainties
• Writing a dissertation
• Various administrative activities, participation in colloquia, courses and lectures organised by the Institute. Support in the administrative management of research projects and scientific tasks

Admission Requirements

• Completed Master studies in civil engineering or similar
• Very good written and spoken German and English

Desired Qualification

• Specialisation in geotechnical engineering, foundation engineering or similar
• Willingness to spend time abroad as part of research activities (e.g. exchange with other research institutions)
• Knowledge of the use of numerical software solutions in geotechnical engineering (e.g. Plaxis)
• Good teamwork and organisational skills

We Offer

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,007.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
