Job Description

As a System and Application Engineer in the IPS team, you will play a key role in enabling successful design-in of Renesas products. You will develop reference designs, support customers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Design, simulate, optimize and validate inductive position sensor modules.
• Provide technical support to customers from concept and debugging to prototype.
• Perform measurements and tests using lab equipment and test benches.
• Create PCB layouts for sensor demonstrators (experience in Altium is mandatory).
• Prepare technical documentation (application notes, design guides).
• Develop and maintain software tools for demonstrators and production programmers.
• Support simulation of inductive sensor elements using an in-house tool.
• Work closely with Product Management and Marketing.
• Participate in customer meetings and occasional business trips.
• Contribute to new feature development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as Application Engineer or similar role
• Proficiency inPCB design and layout; Altium experience is mandatory.
• Comfortable in using electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators).
• Experienced in soldering (SMT and THT)
• Programming skills in C/C++, Python, LabVIEW
• 3D design experience is an advantage (Solid Works)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in automotive or industrial sensor applications.
• Understanding of functional safety requirements.
• Agile mindset and proactive information sharing.

Additional Information

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement of the Electrical and Electronics Industry, employment group H ( https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-ge… ). The monthly salary is paid 14 times a year. However, we offer a higher salary depending on your experience and qualifications.
