About Us
The scientific focus of the Krönke Lab is on investigating the role of the ubiquitin-proteasome system in tumor biology and therapy. The aim of the project is to study proteins with regard to their role in the development of cancer, the emergence of therapy resistance, as predictive markers to guide therapy and as therapeutic targets.
Your Responsibilities
- Independent planning, execution, and analysis of comprehensive experiments in the field of translational hematology/oncology
- Application and further development of state-of-the-art molecular biology methods, including CRISPR/Cas9, cloning, protein biochemistry, as well as work with cell cultures and primary patient samples (S1/S2)
- Conducting and establishing experiments with in vivo mouse models
- Analysis and interpretation of OMICs datasets (DNA, RNA, proteome)
- Supervision and technical guidance of Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students, as well as technical staff within the project context
- Participation in teaching in accordance with LVVO-MV
- Presentation of project results at national and international conferences, as well as active involvement in the preparation of publications and grant applications
Our requirements
- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field
- Extensive expertise in protein biochemistry and molecular biology
- Experience with animal experiments, ideally with FELASA B certification
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and interpretation of experimental data
- Experience in scientific writing, especially for publications and third-party funding applications
- Proficient English and, ideally, also German
- Independent working style combined with high initiative and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of bioinformatics would be an advantage
