About the Role

In this role, you will work in cross-functional teams of domain experts and engineers to promote multiple AI initiatives focused on both operational efficiency and product features. You will work on challenging software and system engineering topics in a dynamic and innovative environment, including specialized development frameworks, web applications, REST APIs, and BI solutions.

Working with a global network of regional offices and clients, you will be part of a truly international team. You will play a key role in leading AI initiatives across the organization and will be actively involved in every stage of the development process, from strategy and design to implementation and delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities

•  Lead and drive AI initiatives focused on both efficiency improvements and product features.
• Develop innovative AI-based solutions to continuously improve system architecture and overall offerings.
• Promote AI-driven tools and capabilities across the technology stack.
• Work across web clients, application servers, back-office servers, databases, and integrations with other systems.
• Define AI strategy, align initiatives with business goals, and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Translate business problems into practical and scalable AI solutions.
• Lead AI and machine learning projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Collaborate closely with global development teams and stakeholders across regional offices.
• Work with AWS-based cloud tools and infrastructure.

Knowledge and Experience

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and data science.
• Proficiency in Python and AI-related frameworks.
• Solid experience in data engineering, model deployment, and model usage.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering.

Leadership and Management

• Proven experience leading AI or ML teams or projects for more than 3 years.
• Ability to define AI strategy and align it with business objectives.
• Strong project management skills, including Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into AI-driven solutions.
• Fluent German and English.

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, and Data.
• Mentorship capabilities, with the ability to coach, guide, and develop team members.
• Ability to perform in a global company, in a multi-cultural environment
