The transformation of the Waltershof port is one of the key future projects of the Port of Hamburg. New terminal areas, modern quays, a 600-meter turning circle, and complex nautical facilities are being built on over 38 hectares – with the goal of ensuring the safe and efficient handling of even the largest container ships in the future.
At the same time, the Project Management Office (PMO) of the Technical Division consolidates cross-divisional expertise in project management methods and guidelines. It ensures professional standards, strengthens PM qualifications, and creates the methodological foundation for effectively and transparently managing major projects like the Waltershof port transformation.

These tasks await you
- You are responsible for the setup, implementation and ongoing operation of the SharePoint-based work and exchange platform for the Waltershofer Hafen transformation project and ensure availability, performance and user acceptance.
- In close coordination with specialist users, you will design and implement workflows, templates, metadata models, as well as authorization and role structures, and ensure compliance, data protection and information security.
- You support users through training, support and documentation, coordinate external service providers and establish binding structures, rules and testing mechanisms to ensure data quality.
- Together with the Project Management Office (PMO), you will further develop standards, processes and KPIs and derive guidelines for other projects from best practices.
- You will be responsible for advising the Technical Division on data and document handling, e.g. sensitive data, complex approval processes, structured data collection.
- Additionally, you promote innovations, e.g. in the areas of information architecture, digital knowledge management, SharePoint.
This is what you bring with you
- You have a completed university degree in civil engineering or industrial engineering, or possess equivalent knowledge and skills.
- Several years of experience in the use and administration of SharePoint Online, as well as in dealing with standardized filing structures and document management systems, make up your profile.
- With expert knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially in collaboration, communication and data management with SharePoint Online, as well as sound project management experience across several fields of knowledge, you will impress.
- Ideally, you have already worked with the digital platform big® and prepared, conducted and moderated workshops of various kinds, including online workshops.
- You are characterized by strong analytical and abstract reasoning skills, a structured, solution-oriented and independent work style, as well as excellent communication skills.
