Join us in this role where you’ll operate at a strategic level to secure and negotiate grid connections, act as a strong counterpart to German grid operators, and guide a small, experienced team through the full grid‑connection lifecycle.
Welcome to Project Management
You’ll be part of Project Management where you, together with your colleagues, will identify grid connection points, engage early with grid operators, manage planning and tendering processes, and support delivery from early development through construction to COD. The team currently consists of two senior engineers who work independently, and with you the team will grow to three specialists with the potential to expand modestly.
As a team, we care deeply about collaboration, clarity, and delivering results that move the German energy transition forward.
You’ll play an important role in:
- leading the Grid Connection team and empowering small team through clear direction, coaching, and technical guidance
- developing technical connection concepts, electrical designs, and calculations for medium‑ and high‑voltage grid connections
- managing grid connection applications and coordinating technical negotiations with DSOs and TSOs
- preparing and reviewing specifications, tenders, bids, and contractual terms for substations, transformers, and cable infrastructure
- overseeing execution quality, interfaces, and progress during construction, ensuring compliance with standards and transparent project communication
- coordinating commissioning, certification, grid‑code compliance, and complete documentation for handover to operations.
To succeed in the role, you:
- bring a completed degree within electrical, energy, or renewable engineering, or equivalent experience
- apply solid knowledge of grid‑code requirements, electrical standards, and certifications such as VDE‑AR‑N 4110/4120 or FGW TR3/TR8
- understand medium‑voltage switching, protection concepts, and control/communication interfaces such as EMS, SCADA, and telecontrol
- build strong stakeholder relationships across grid operators, EPC partners, OEMs, and certification bodies
- work in a structured, solution‑oriented way with strong technical and commercial insight
- communicate clearly in German collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and hold good English proficiency.
