Our client is an international hidden champion when it comes to logistics & energy software. We are looking for a Head of PMO (m/f/d) to build up a PMO function from scratch.

Aufgabengebiet

Project Portfolio Management:

• Oversee the entire project portfolio across regions, ensuring visibility, transparency, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure delivery excellence and customer satisfaction across all implementation and upgrade projects.

Project Governance & Methodology:

• Establish and enforce PMO standards, tools, templates, and processes based on best practices (e.g., PMI, Agile, Hybrid).
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing in project and program delivery.

Leadership & Team Development:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers, fostering a culture of accountability and empowerment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project execution with company goals.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as a senior escalation point for strategic customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support pre-sales and bid activities with project scoping, planning, and resource alignment.

Operational Excellence & Performance Management:

• Track KPIs including project profitability, delivery timelines, risk exposure, and resource utilization.
• Provide regular reporting to executive leadership and support strategic decision-making.

Anforderungsprofil

What You'll Need:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in leading project management teams in a software or technology-driven environment.
• Strong background in delivering enterprise software projects, ideally within the energy or industrial sectors.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.).
• Leadership experience across international, cross-cultural teams and matrix organizations.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills (German and others) are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed (e.g. 30-40% of the time).
