Intern within AI transformation project in A320 Developments Programme (d/f/m)

Your location: Hamburg Finkenwerder

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your working student position is at the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about another 15 minutes to the main entrance.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Understanding the management of complex product development projects.

• Understanding the aircraft full product development cycle.

• Improvement of operational performance developing digital solutions.

• Understand and translate business needs into digital problem spaces.

• Prototyping & Feasibility Analysis: Rapid prototyping of GenAI-based solutions and delivering comprehensive feasibility analyses.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of Computer Science, Data Science or similar study fields.

• Knowledge of project management.

• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.

• Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence: Solid theoretical and practical knowledge in AI, with a focus on Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Prompt Engineering.

• Digital Technology Acumen: Strong awareness of the digital technology landscape and the ability to proactively identify, learn, and apply new technologies to meet customer needs.

• Very good Python coding skills, experience with full-stack software development.

• Interest and curiosity in working with cloud technologies, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
