As Product Manager – Ophthalmic Lenses (f/m/d), you are responsible for the strategic management and lifecycle of ophthalmic lens products, from concept to market launch and continuous optimization. You act as the key interface between manufacturing, marketing, sales, and external partners, ensuring that products meet customer needs, clinical standards, and commercial objectives.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for ophthalmic lenses (e.g. single vision, progressive, occupational, myopia control, coatings).
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and value propositions for new and existing products.
Product Development & Launch
- Translate customer, clinical, and business requirements into clear product specifications.
- Lead cross-functional product development projects with sales, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing teams.
- Plan and execute product launches, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Ensure compliance with medical device regulations, quality standards, and internal governance processes.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, operations, supply chain).
- Support sales and training teams with product knowledge, materials, and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and technology providers when relevant.
Performance & Lifecycle Management
- Monitor product performance using KPIs such as sales, margin, customer feedback, and market share.
- Drive continuous product improvement, cost optimization, and portfolio simplification where needed.
- Manage product phase-in and phase-out processes.

- Degree in Business Administration, Optometry, Vision Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management, ideally in ophthalmic lenses, optics, medical devices, or healthcare products.
- Strong understanding of ophthalmic lens technologies and customer needs (opticians, optometrists, end consumers).
- Experience working in cross-functional, international environments.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-focused value.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Structured, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
