What you will do
We are looking for a Regional / Global Business Controller to strengthen our team for Consumer segment.
This role can be shaped around strong Sales Controlling or Marketing Controlling background. Based on experience and strengths, the successful candidate will take ownership of a key commercial area and act as a finance business partner to senior stakeholders across Europe and Global functions.
Core responsibilities
• Own financial planning, forecasting, and performance tracking for the responsible area (P&L/SOI)
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to MU Consumer management teams
• Provide insights, challenge assumptions, and support decision-making with fact-based analyses
• Drive transparency on risks and opportunities and support business planning cycles
• Collaborate closely with other regional and global functions
• Participate actively in management teams and cross-functional projects
Depending on background, the role may focus on one of the following areas:
Sales Controlling focus
• Financial steering of customer, channel, and regional sales performance
• Customer condition management and understanding of customer terms
• Analysis of customer profitability and commercial levers
• Evaluation of commercial investments such as POS, promotions, and trade spending
• Exposure to e-commerce business models is a strong plus
Marketing Controlling focus
• Steering and monitoring of marketing budgets
• Build-up of media spend analysis and effectiveness tracking
• Financial support to brand and marketing teams
• Business planning, scenario analysis, and performance reviews
• Financial evaluation of global product launches and innovation portfolio management
What you will need
• Experience in consumer goods, retail or eCOM experience is a plus
• Proven background in either Sales Controlling or Marketing Controlling
• Strong experience in planning, forecasting, and performance management
• Exposure to P&L responsibility
• Prior operational experience in a country or affiliate organization, with strong end-to-end business understanding
• Experience working with regional and global stakeholders in a matrix organization
• Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset
• Ability to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus
