YOUR IMPACT
As a (Senior) Data Engineer , you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines while ensuring the integration of data from various systems into a unified data model. You will work closely with platform engineers , software engineers and business stakeholders to ensure data is processed efficiently, stored securely, and available for real-time analytics and insights. Your focus will also be on eliminating data silos, harmonizing data models across systems, and ensuring seamless data integration to support diverse business needs.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain a unified data model that standardizes and structures data from different systems to ensure consistency and proper linkage for all business processes
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for both structured and unstructured data
- Build and maintain data infrastructure that supports analytics, business workloads, and dashboarding solutions
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance through validation, monitoring, and comprehensive documentation
- Manage the entire data life cycle, including ingestion, storage, usage, archiving, and deletion
- Implement best practices for data security, compliance, scalability, and performance
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards for business stakeholders, enabling real-time data insights and decision-making
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and transformation
- Experience with modern data stack technologies - eg, Databricks, Spark, Iceberg, Trino, dbt, Kafka, Airbyte, Superset - and familiarity with SQL databases
- Experience with S3 storage and its operations, including data upload, download, versioning, lifecycle management, and access control - eg, IAM, bucket policies, ACLs
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms - eg, AWS, GCP - and data architectures
- Experience in data modeling, including dimensional modeling
- Understanding of data governance and best practices for ensuring data quality, security, and compliance
- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure-as-code eg, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, is a plus
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, and engineering and align data solutions with business needs
