As we expand our operations in Germany, we are excited to grow our Seat Integration Team, focusing on unique seat certification and integration for all Boeing aircraft models. In this role you will:

• Be responsible for and lead the certification activities for aircraft seating products, with the Boeing Commercial Airplanes business unit, to produce STCs that allow for the post-delivery i nstallation of new seating products

• B e a technical focal and (Boeing) representative for stress, engineering and certification topics r elating to integration of airplane seating

• Perform analytical and finite element (FE) calculations , assess and predict structural failure modes incl. execution of root cause analysis

• Compile structural substantiation documents and r eview data from our suppliers for integration approval of seats ( all types of seats including unique features ) into the airframe

• Work closely with our Boeing teams and other stakeholders to ensure the aircraft cabin is delivered in the correct condition and quality

What you bring to the table:

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, within Stress/Structures/Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering

• 5+ years' experience in commercial aircraft design with an EASA Part 21, Subpart J Design Organization (or equivalent)

• Experience within seat development and certification - from beginning up to approval including test witnessing and ( E - )TSO program s

Additionally preferred skills:

• Experience: You have extensive experience with EASA regulatory and applicable airworthiness requirements, e.g. CS - , JAR - and FAR-25 incl uding related AC’s and AMC’s (relevant to §25.562)

• Knowledge : You show a high level of attention to detail and bring extensive experience with aircraft interior modification programs including certifying novel seat features such as pre-tensioners and air bags . You thrive while work ing on multiple program s with varying level s of requirements

• Collaboration : You are experienced in working effectively with colleagues and customers and are willing to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff

• Tools: You can demonstrate Proficiency with our key engineering tools: Alta ir HyperWorks , PATRAN / NASTRAN
