We are looking for you as a Technical Asset Manager (m/f/d) at our German location in Hamburg in the area of operator real estate (care / hotel).

As a Technical Asset Manager, you will support the technical and strategic development of our operator real estate portfolio in Germany. You will gradually take on more responsibility in the identification, evaluation and implementation of value-add measures and expand your expertise in ESG-compliant portfolio development. You will work closely with our experienced team and various partners to realize sustainable increases in value.

Your tasks

  • Developing and implementing ESG and investment strategies for operator properties, taking into account current market trends and sustainability standards
  • Support in the management of CAPEX measures, modernization and refurbishment projects with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Management of technical due diligence processes for acquisitions and sales as well as the preparation of well-founded technical assessments
  • Responsibility for the management of complex construction projects
  • Implementation of systematic quality and risk management for all technical measures
  • Coordination of external service providers (e.g. property managers, architects, engineers, construction controllers)
  • Responsibility for budget planning, cost controlling and technical KPIs
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements
  • Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with market players (e.g. authorities, planners, construction companies)
  • Close cooperation with internal departments (investment, asset and fund management)
  • Preparation of reports for investors and committees

What you bring with you

  • Completed studies (architecture, civil engineering, real estate management) or technical training (technician/master craftsman)
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in technical asset management, investment management, construction management or in comparable positions – ideally with a focus on operator properties (care/hotel)
  • Knowledge of ESG, EU taxonomy, energy efficiency standards and relevant construction law
  • Experience in project management of larger construction projects (up to EUR 2.5 million) as well as in technical due diligence and risk assessments
  • Familiar with the use of digital tools (e.g. BIM, PropTech)
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills with various stakeholder groups
  • Experience in leading project teams
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic networks in the real estate industry
  • Independent, solution-oriented and structured way of working
  • Business fluent in German and very good knowledge of English; other languages an advantage
