In order to support the Lavatory Architecture & Design department, Airbus Operations is looking for a
Working Student within Cabin Engineering: Lavatory / Galley Design (d/f/m)
You are a full time student, looking for a working student position and want to get to know the work of Airbus? Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Lavatory Architecture & Design department as a working student (d/f/m) with approx. 15 hours a week!
Location: Hamburg
Start: As soon as possible
Duration: 31.12.2026 (contract renewal possible)
You will receive a collectively agreed salary of at least €18.53 per hour, depending on the job. There are also special payments such as vacation pay.
Definition working student
Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.
This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.
Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.
Finkenwerder
Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your working student position is at the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about another 15 minutes to the main entrance.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Preparation of BOM-1 Deployment as new budget and resource planning tool
Support of team organization (budget planning, training, wiki platform)
Support in creating action and tracking lists
Support in applying for work orders to external companies
Creating of status / progress reports
Prepare technical presentations
Ensuring the collaboration with and between the areas definition, development, design, procurement, manufacturing, integration and test until delivery
Checking and Management of technical changes and deviations
Ensuring formal correctness of technical data
Desired skills and qualifications
Enrolled full time student within Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or similar field of study
Good Software skills (programming languages) and technical skills
Knowledge MS Office and Google Suite (Sheets,Doc, Presentations)
English: fluent
Basics in German are a plus
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
