In this role, you underwrite reinsurance contracts worldwide and transfer the risks to investment funds. In addition to your core responsibilities as an underwriter, you actively contribute to the automation of our processes in close collaboration with Hannover Re’s IT team.
You can look forward to
- You manage and analyse reinsurance contracts and transfer the risks to investment funds
- You ensure that the investment funds provide sufficient collateral
- You regularly interact with external business partners, including cedents, reinsurance brokers, and investment fund managers, to discuss their needs
- You visit customers, introduce new products, and present innovative concepts such as new contract models
- You are responsible for the development, structuring, and negotiation of retrocession contracts and oversee their ongoing controlling
- Internally, you collaborate closely with colleagues from both the business and IT departments
You come equipped with
- A completed master’s degree in (Business) Informatics or a related field with a relevant IT focus
- Strong interest in IT and technology, ideally with initial experience in process automation
- Initial professional experience in (re)insurance or the financial sector is an advantage
- Business-level English and at least conversational German, combined with excellent communication skills in an international environment
- Ability to analyse, structure, and present complex topics and processes in a clear, audience-appropriate manner, along with a strong team spirit
