About IOTIS:

IOTIS is a sportstech startup that develops a smart football. Sensors in the ball detect for example how fast a player shoots or how many contacts he has done during a drill. Combined with an app, the player will be able to receive live feedback, compare themselves with friends and teammates, and improve their skills on the pitch.
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist!

Data Scientist (On-Site, Full-Time, 40h/week, Hannover, 3-4 days/week on site

Tasks

• Extend a growing code base (Python) of the data science team
• Assess feasibility of new ideas
• Plan and execute data collection and analysis tasks
• Develop new algorithms or ML models
• Deliver and document production-grade Python implementations
• Collaborate with mobile teams to enable the integration into native apps

Required Skills

• Master- or PhD-level degree in a data science near field
• Proficiency in Python, and understanding of OOP concepts
• Experience in algorithmic design
• Experience in Unit Testing
• Experience with Git for version control

Requirements

• Strong coding proficiency
• Advanced theoretical knowledge in mechanics/physics
• Interest in football and sports
• Experience in working with IMU sensors or handling real-time time series data
• Experience in Jira and Confluence
• Experience in production pipelines from the data engineering perspective
• Interest in hardware, firmware, app design
