For our Competence Center Ready Mix, we are looking for an Operational Specialist (f/m/d). The position is based at our Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany, and reports to the Head of Operational Excellence .
The Global CCR Operational Specialist will support operational excellence and performance improvement across our Readymix Concrete (RMC) operations by supporting the coordination and implementation of new initiatives and solutions. This role involves developing operational knowledge-based business cases, content development, providing project management support, and managing relationships with Group and country teams.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Act as the primary operational liaison between Group Functions, Country RMC teams, other relevant teams for continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
Collaborate with CCR experts (e.g., Materials, Revenue, Logistics, etc.) and other relevant experts to gather expert input and ensure operational alignment
Collect data, analyze, and report results on innovative initiatives to support strategic development of our RMC busnesses globally
Provide intermediate-level RMC knowledge and project coordination to support business case development and content development
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity, effective change management, and responsiveness
Support CCR’s and Heidelberg Materials’ communication strategies to promote operational excellence and transformation
YOUR PROFILE
Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years in operations, preferably in concrete materials or related building materials industry
RMC operational knowledge and direct experience with all components of the RMC busines
Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent communication and project management skills
S trong analytic and digitalization skills and the ability to engage people into a data-driven management culture
Ability to understand the operational, technical, commercial and financial aspects of the business and how they relate to each other.
Ability to apply technical recommendations in a pragmatic, hands-on way to the actual operating environment
Strong communication skills to all levels from blue collar worker to CEO in an international and intercultural environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint
Strong English spoken and written skills; other languages of where we operate are a plus
