wanted for the next possible date at Institute of Experimental Cardiology.
The Mechanisms of Cardiac Regeneration and Repair lab is inviting applications for a research technician. We are embedded within the Institute of Experimental Cardiology at Heidelberg University Hospital. Our lab investigates the molecular and cellular mechanisms driving cardiac regeneration and repair using zebrafish and mouse as model systems. Our ultimate goal is to use this knowledge to develop and improve therapeutic strategies to treat heart disease (read more at www.beisawlab.com). We are searching for a motivated candidate to be part of our international and vibrant team. The position is initially limited to one year, with the possibility of extension, and remuneration is according to the TV-UK system. The position is especially suitable for a candidate with a BSc/MSc degree who is searching for additional experience in the lab before applying for PhD positions.

Your Tasks
- Assisting in the maintenance and generation of mutant/transgenic zebrafish lines
- Molecular biological and biochemical techniques (including PCR, cloning, RNA preparation, protein extraction, Western blotting)
- Immunohistochemical techniques (including tissue sectioning, immunostaining, confocal imaging)
- Organizational and administrative responsibilities
Your Profile
- A BSc or MSc degree in the life sciences is not mandatory but will be viewed favorably
- Experience in standard molecular biological/ immunohistochemical techniques and previous work with animal models will be an advantage
- FELASA certification is valued but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work in a team
- Organizational skills
