Our client is an established international player in the chemical industry with a site in Herten that is steadily expanding its GMP operations. The location produces high-quality products that are applied in sensitive sectors such as healthcare, industry, and life sciences. To strengthen the Quality Assurance team, we are looking for a QA Officer who is eager to contribute to the growth and further professionalization of the QA department.

The role
As QA Officer, you will be responsible for day-to-day operational QA activities in a GMP-regulated environment. You will ensure that production processes and documentation meet strict quality requirements and support operators and supervisors in working according to GMP standards.
This role offers close collaboration with colleagues across production and quality, with a direct reporting line to the QA Manager. Since the QA Manager plans to gradually hand over responsibilities in the coming years, this position provides excellent growth prospects for an ambitious QA professional.

Responsibilities

• Release of materials and finished products within the GMP scope.
• Review and archiving of documentation such as batch records and deviation reports.
• Providing QA support to operators and team leaders on the shop floor.
• Delivering and developing GMP-related training modules.
• Maintaining and improving QA documentation systems and archives.
• Contributing to performance reports and Product Quality Reviews (PQR).
• Participating in daily team meetings to address quality issues and ensure smooth operations.

Your profile

• Prior experience in Quality Assurance is required.
• Education or work background in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
• Knowledge of GMP and cleanroom procedures, or willingness to be trained.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and good command of English.
• Detail-oriented, structured, and proactive in approach.
