Platform Developer (m/f/d)
You will be part of the SAP Cloud and Frontend team on the tech side to build, operate and especially innovate the SAP Business Technology Platform adoption in key area.
Supports and consults business IT teams about the usage of these platform(s) and services to focus on delivering value at high speed.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming/software development
- Support, develop and implement projects based on proven development methodologies for SAP BTP, and other modern Cloud Development Frameworks on hyperscalers.
- Automate processes and BTP management activities via scripting.
- Contribute to and ensure internal SAP BTP guidelines to bring consistency.
- Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends, and refactors moderately complex programs/scripts.
- Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
- Collaborates in reviews of work with others as appropriate.
Database design
- Develops appropriate physical database or data warehouse design elements, within set policies, to meet business change or development project data requirements.
- Interprets installation standards to meet project needs and produces database or data warehouse component specifications.
Testing
- Reviews requirements and specifications and defines test conditions.
- Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes.
- Analyses and reports test activities and results.
- Identifies and reports issues and risks associated with own work.
Systems integration and build
- Produces software builds from software source code.
- Conducts tests as defined in an integration test specification, records the details of any failures.
- Analyses and reports on integration test activities and results.
- Identifies and reports issues and risks.
Porting/software configuration
- Assists in the configuration of software and equipment and the systems testing of platform-specific versions of one or more software products.
- Documents faults, implements resolutions and retests to agreed standards.
Service level management
- Monitors and logs the actual service provided, compared to that required by service level agreements.
Release and deployment
- Assesses and analyses release components. Provides input to scheduling.
- Carries out the builds and tests in coordination with testers and component specialists maintaining and administering the tools and methods – manual or automatic - and ensuring, where possible, information exchange with configuration management.
- Ensures release processes and procedures are maintained.

- Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Min. 3 years of SAP development experience in large scale projects.
- Proficient spoken and written command of English
- At least 3-year experience in IT
- 1 year of experience in relevant area
