Your tasks

Backend engineering: Design and implementation of highly available APIs and services within the PHP-based system landscape.
Project and stakeholder management: Independent planning and management of complex software projects in the RE-IN environment, involving interdisciplinary interfaces.
Architecture and innovation: Strategic further development of the system architecture as well as evaluation and integration of forward-looking technologies for performance optimization.
Quality assurance & compliance: Definition of clean code standards, performance of strategic code reviews, and ensuring data security and compliance.
Release & process optimization: Creation of technical roadmaps and feasibility studies, as well as proactive optimization of deployment processes (CI/CD).

Your qualifications

Completed degree in (business) information technology or software engineering, as well as many years of relevant professional experience in software architecture.
Comprehensive expert knowledge of PHP development, modern front-end technologies (TypeScript/JS), and the design of complex platform architectures.
Confident manner as a technical anchor point with a deep understanding of cost-benefit ratios and business management contexts in e-commerce.
Strong sense of responsibility for the entire project life cycle (end-to-end) as well as for the stability and security of the system landscape.
Innovative spirit and the determination to courageously question existing structures, break new ground, and make decisive decisions even in critical phases.
Very good English skills; German skills are a plus.
