The primary objective of the position is to ensure that materials and parts are available as needed at all times through efficient procurement, inventory, and delivery management, as well as reliable forecasts. The focus is on close and proactive coordination with internal and external interfaces to ensure smooth production supply and high delivery capability.
Area of responsibility
- Ensuring optimal inventory range and quality (including minimizing slow movers and obsolete stock).
- Ensuring the availability of materials and parts (raw materials, consumables, and finished parts) for the assigned product range, taking into account quantities, deadlines, planning specifications, and consumption/sales.
- Coordinating and working closely with internal departments to ensure a smooth supply of materials.
- Monitoring and controlling delivery dates and coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time procurement.
- Responsibility for inventory management at the assigned storage location, including optimizing inventory levels and minimizing bottlenecks.
- Collaborating on forecast coordination and supporting production planning through forward-looking material provision.
- Coordinating and communicating product availability with all relevant interfaces.
Your profile
- Completed commercial or technical training;
- Alternatively: completed degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or industrial engineering
- Relevant additional qualifications in purchasing, scheduling, or production planning are an advantage
- Very good knowledge of material procurement, scheduling, and delivery control
- Sound SAP knowledge (especially MM, possibly PP)
- Confident handling of planning parameters, ranges, forecasts, and demand analyses
- Understanding of production and manufacturing processes
- Experience in inventory optimization and warehouse control
- Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and their derivation from measures
- Very good written and spoken English skills
