We're delighted to exclusively partner with a well-established international organization with a strong presence across multiple markets, operating within a complex and fast-paced environment. We're supporting their search for a Finance & Business Controller, a newly-created position.

Offering a unique combination of financial reporting, FP&A, and advisory exposure, this role is an ideal first or second move from practice.

Alongside ownership of statutory reporting and technical accounting, you will gain hands-on experience in financial planning, performance analysis, and business partnering, making this an excellent platform to develop beyond pure reporting.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance & Business Controller:

• Lead the preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and Dutch GAAP
• Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
• Perform detailed P&L and balance sheet analysis, including performance and variance insights
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial input and challenge where needed
• Translate financial results into clear insights to support strategic and operational decisions
• Assess and implement accounting treatment for new standards and complex transactions
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial visibility and performance tracking
• Act as a key contact for auditors and support the year-end audit process
• Drive continuous improvements in reporting, planning, and control processes

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
• Qualified accountant (RA / ACA / ACCA / CA)
• 6–8 years’ experience, ideally combining Big 4 and industry exposure
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP
• Experience in financial reporting and exposure to FP&A or business partnering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Fluent in English (Dutch is advantageous)
