Your Role

As a Senior Development Technologist - Snacks, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and technical excellence in flavor creation for snack applications. You will be responsible for developing new and improved flavor solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams, and managing customer projects to ensure high-quality and market-relevant outcomes.

• Develop innovative flavor proposals and continuously enhance raw material expertise to translate the latest market trends into proactive creation concepts.

• Act as a dedicated technical lead for specific customers, understanding their needs and ensuring tailored solutions.

• Collaborate with procurement to identify and integrate new, innovative raw materials.

• Work closely with the Research & Technology (R&T) department to develop and implement new technical systems within the organization.

• Manage flavor creation projects for snack applications, ensuring effective execution and adherence to customer requirements.

• Develop and optimize delivery systems for extrusion-based snack applications.

• Partner with Portfolio Management, Category Management, Sensory, Marketing, Regulatory, and Sales teams to deliver best-in-class flavor solutions.

• Ensure the quality of flavor developments, considering commercial viability, stability, regulatory compliance, ecological impact, and product safety.

• Continuously refine existing formulations to maintain competitiveness and improve market success rates.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand their flavor and taste preferences, supporting business growth and retention.

• Actively participate in customer presentations, innovation workshops, and the preparation of extruded snack samples for demonstrations.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Nutritional Sciences, or a related field.

• 7-10 years of experience as a Flavorist or Food Technologist, with a focus on snack applications.

• High level of motivation, creativity, and a team-oriented mindset.

• Strong project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Customer-oriented approach with excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Willingness to travel to internal and external partners as required.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
