Your Role
To ensure the continued safe and customer-focused operation of our Encapsulation department, we are looking for a highly motivated Technologist – Encapsulation Technologies. In this role, you will drive innovation, technology development, and production-scale implementation of encapsulated solutions across various formats such as, Evodry™, Evospray™, Evogran™, Evogran™ Coating, Vaccum Drying, and Compaction.
You will serve as the technical bridge between product development and production, contribute to safety assessments, and support global training and documentation standard.
- Execute and optimize sample production processes across multiple encapsulation technologies.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for encapsulation processes and a key liaison to production teams.
- Conduct and evaluate experimental safety data, particularly in the area of explosion protection.
- Maintain and update recipes and relevant documentation in compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead or support training sessions for internal teams and cross-site colleagues.
- Develop and scale up new encapsulation technologies from lab to pilot and production scale.
- Analyze and interpret test data independently, ensuring high-quality documentation.
- Monitor trends and innovations in encapsulation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Take on leadership responsibility and team coordination over time.
About You
Education & Training
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related natural science field.
- Additional training such as EUP (Electrically Instructed Person) or Safety Officer certification is desirable.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the development or production of encapsulated products.
- Demonstrated success in scaling up processes from lab to industrial scale.
- Familiarity with analytical methods like viscosity, particle size, and residual moisture analysis.
- Skills & Knowledge
- Strong process engineering and control engineering knowledge.
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office applications.
- Good communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Scientific thinking with a structured, hands-on approach.
- High level of commitment, motivation, and willingness to take ownership.
