Your Role
We offer a position as Technologist Flavor Analysis in a dedicated and highly motivated team in Research & Technology, TN&H. You will drive and shape the analytical support for product development and mid-term research projects in a local and global network of Flavorists, Product Developers and Scientists.
Your detailed role will comprise lab work, data evaluation and report generation, including:
· Sample clean-up following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Instrumental analysis (e.g., GC/MS) and proper maintenance of analytical equipment.
· Evaluation of mass spectrometric data, including deconvolution and identification of potential raw materials and the compilation of analysis reports.
A key challenge in this role is the close collaboration with technical teams in Research & Technology, as well as the Development Categories Sweet, Dairy, and Beverages, with the goal of translating analytical data into meaningful flavor recipes.
Additionally, the role involves continuously optimizing laboratory workflows by leveraging new digital tools and software applications. Accurate documentation and adherence to internal quality and safety standards are also essential.
About You
· Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician or a Bachelor/Master of Science degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Food Science or related fields.
· Experience in mass spectrometry and GC/MS data evaluation.
· Knowledge in flavor chemistry or flavor sensory is benefitial.
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills, creativity, and openness to teamwork.
· Hands on mentality, accurate and efficient handling of tasks in an analytical lab environment.
· Affinity for data science tools and interest in new software features.
· German and English language skills are required.
