Job Description:
In Platform Operational Support we involve in the whole life cycle of software-intensive Ground Support Systems (GSS) for all flying platforms. Our GSS products comprise the preparation and evaluation of aircraft mission data, provide interfaces to the airborne systems and support the analysis of the mission execution.
You are responsible for Software Maintenance, the Technical Query Answering Service, the Spare Pool Service, Obsolescence Management, In-Service Security, and System Evolution. The role involves leading a team of engineers and coordinating interfaces with the Chief Engineer, Project Manager and support functions.
It emphasizing leadership, technical ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Technical responsibility of a project team, supporting Software Maintenance, the Technical Query Answering Service, the Spare Pool Service, Obsolescence Management, In-Service Security, and System Evolution, ensuring alignment with the master project plan, key milestones and roll-out to Customer.
Optimize resource allocation and manage team capacity to support end-to-end planning and execution. Manage subcontractor interfaces and coordinate their integration within the function’s development activities
Steer full lifecycle development activities according schedule, cost and quality standards
Lead budget planning by identifying financial needs and supporting EAC consolidation in coordination with the DTDB-C Project Manager. Ensure adherence to the allocated baseline budget and contribute to risk and opportunity management
Collaborate with the Chief Engineer, Project Manager, and support functions to ensure seamless cross-functional alignment.
Support audits and qualification reviews
Desired skills and qualifications
University Engineering Degree or Master in Information Technology, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 2,5 - 5 years of experience as Technical Project Manager (preferable in Aeronautics or Military sector)
Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation
Knowledge and experience in managing safety critical development is a plus
Ability to motivate, guide, and empower project teams
Strong communication skills
Ability to identify and resolve project-related issues effectively
Negotiation level in German and English
Collaboration skills, openness, self-organized and high orientation to quality
