Für unseren Kunden HENSOLDT am Standort Immenstaad suchen wir Sie als IT System Integration Engineer (m/w/d) – Simulation Solutions / Simsphere®.

Im Bereich Simulation Solutions entstehen hochmoderne Simulationssysteme für den militärischen Markt. Die Simsphere® Simulation Suite bildet komplexe Sensor- und Effektorlandschaften realitätsnah ab und ermöglicht die Analyse kompletter Szenarien unter realen Performance-Bedingungen. In Ihrer Rolle sorgen Sie dafür, dass die zugrundeliegenden IT-Simulationssysteme zuverlässig ausgelegt, integriert, automatisiert betrieben und kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt werden – in enger Zusammenarbeit mit System Engineering, Software-Entwicklung, Testing und DevOps.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Auslegung, Konfiguration und Installation von IT-Hardware sowie Softwarekomponenten.

• Aufbau und Pflege komplexer, heterogener Labor- und Testumgebungen (Windows & Linux) inkl. Server, Clients, IP-Netzwerke und virtueller Maschinen.

• Erstellung von Konzepten für manuelle und automatisierte Installation/Konfiguration verteilter IT-Simulationssysteme inkl. Air-Gapped Umgebungen.

• Wartung und Weiterentwicklung bestehender Systeme, inkl. Anpassungen sowie Fehlerbehebungen an Hard- und Softwarekonfigurationen.

• Konzeption, Aufbau und Überwachung von Hardware- und System-Monitorings.

• Aufbau und Pflege von Toolchains/Pipelines für Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

• Automatisierung von Build- und Release-Prozessen entlang der CI/CD-Pipeline durch Skripte und Programme.

• Test integrierter Systeme gemäß Vorgaben sowie Erstellung von Simulationsszenarien.

• Nachstellen, Analysieren und Beheben von Fehlerberichten interner Tester und Kunden.

• Zusammenarbeit im agilen Team mit System Engineering, Software-Entwicklung, Testing und DevOps.

Ihr Profil

• Abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium Informatik, Ingenieurwesen oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation.

• Mindestens 5 Jahre einschlägige Berufserfahrung im IT-Systemintegrations- oder Infrastruktur-Umfeld.

• Fundiertes technisches Wissen in Software- und Server-Hardware sowie in modernen Prozessen, Methoden und Tools.

• Sehr gute Administrationskenntnisse in Windows- und Linux-Systemen inkl. Netzwerk-Konfiguration und Firewalls; Erfahrungen mit automatisierter Konfiguration (z. B. Ansible) erforderlich.

• Kenntnisse in Virtualisierungs- und Containertechnologien (z. B. VMware, Proxmox, Docker, Podman) zwingend notwendig; fundierte Docker-Praxis wünschenswert.

• Erste Erfahrung in Software- bzw. Build-Pipeline-Entwicklung (z. B. C++, Python, Jenkins, Bamboo) sowie sicherer Umgang mit Kommandozeilen-Tools (Bash, PowerShell).

• Sehr gute MS-Office-Kenntnisse (detaillierte Spezialkenntnisse).

• Freude an neuen Technologien, kreative und ergebnisorientierte Arbeitsweise, hohe Eigenverantwortung.

• Offenheit für gelegentlichen Kundenkontakt bei Vor-Ort-Einsätzen (Systeminstallationen).

• Deutsch und Englisch verhandlungssicher.

IT System Integration Engineer (m/f/d) – Simulation Solutions / Simsphere® – HENSOLDT

For our customer HENSOLDT in Immenstaad, we are looking for an IT System Integration Engineer (m/f/d) – Simulation Solutions / Simsphere®.

Simulation Solutions develops state-of-the-art simulation systems for the military market. The Simsphere® Simulation Suite realistically models complex sensor and effector landscapes and enables complete scenario testing and analysis under real performance conditions. In this role, you ensure robust design, integration, automation, and continuous improvement of the underlying IT simulation systems, working closely with system engineering, software development, testing, and DevOps.

Your tasks

• Design, configure and install IT hardware and software components.

• Set up and maintain complex heterogeneous lab and test environments (Windows & Linux), including servers, clients, IP networks and virtual machines.

• Create concepts for manual and automated installation/configuration of complex distributed IT simulation systems, including air-gapped setups.

• Maintain and further develop existing systems, including configuration adjustments and troubleshooting on hardware/software level.

• Design, implement and monitor hardware and system monitoring solutions.

• Build and maintain toolchains/pipelines for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

• Automate build and release processes along the CI/CD pipeline by developing scripts and programs.

• Test integrated systems according to requirements and create simulation scenarios.

• Reproduce, analyze and resolve error reports from internal testers and customers.

• Collaborate within an agile team across system engineering, software development, testing and DevOps.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable qualification.

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in IT system integration and/or infrastructure.

• Strong technical knowledge of software and server hardware as well as modern processes, methods and tools.

• Proven administration skills in Windows and Linux, especially network configuration and firewalls; experience with automated configuration (e.g., Ansible) required.

• Mandatory knowledge of virtualization and container technologies (e.g., VMware, Proxmox, Docker, Podman); solid Docker experience is a plus.

• Initial experience in software/build pipeline development (e.g., C++, Python, Jenkins, Bamboo) and confident use of command-line tools (Bash, PowerShell).

• Advanced MS Office skills.

• Enthusiasm for new technologies, creative and results-driven mindset, high level of responsibility.

• Openness to occasional customer interaction during on-site system installations.
