Become Technical Manager for Industrial Engineering in the SpaceTech Solar Array Factory

Our solar array products are in high demand from customers around the globe, ranging from scientific one-off satellites to series production for constellations. The Industrial Engineering department within the Solar Array Factory is responsible for the manufacturing processes & product design as well as for the supply chain and the project management of the (serial) solar array production.

Your tasks as Technical Manager for Industrial Engineering at SpaceTech

• Support management of (serial) production projects for Solar Array Factory products
• Coordinate and monitor the production activities
• Organize the industrial engineering of products and conduct technical assessments, if needed
• Collaborate with engineers as part of the industrial engineering team
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements regarding quality, cost, and schedule
• Support customer contact
• Negotiate change requests and manage contract change notices
• Organize and lead technical and project reviews

Skills and experience needed as Technical Manager for Industrial Engineering at SpaceTech

• Experience in manufacturing projects for space applications and project management
• Proven experience in project planning
• Work independently as well as within interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and foster a culture of inclusion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is an asset
• Strong drive to deliver projects on cost, on time and on quality
• Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering discipline
